love from Venice!

ciaooo people:)

i am now, relaxing in our rented b&b in Venice, called Sawasdee Venezia~
Since it is owned by a family from Thailand, we even got to use the kitchen, full with oyster sauce, belacan and even cili padi okay!!...so...we're having our home-cooked dinner for tonight.

Today is my last day in Venice...and i must say that it is a must-to-visit place!!
We had our luck today when we were offered a gondola ride for only 70eu! *it was 100 eu normally*...the gondola guy said sth about its alrdy near sunset, plus we're students. so yeah...a cheaper ride!
i got to view the house owned by Mozart~!!

I myself dont really buy/spend on souvenirs here.stuff like keychain.magnets and stuff are quite pricey.i prefer to spend a euro on Gelato!!!!!!my target is to have one gelato at least per day. so i have another 8 more to go!hahaha~

i'll be heading to Firenze tmrw by train around 843am. and after that straight away to the designer outlet called The Mall. As for today, i managed to get a very nice pair of Ferragamo in Venice City Centre.hehehe...more to come..more to come..
(i went in to Prada to check on some good bargain, when the SA greeted me with 'apa khabar.terima kasih'!!)
one thing i noticed here is that, the Saldi/ sale is a big hit!!
*boleh pengsan sambil jilat2 gelato~~!*

Surabaya calling??

Another childhood friend of mine is tying the knot in early August!
its my primary 1 girlfriend, Ferina!
I am super happy as i will get the chance to attend ( it is summer hols at that time).

so mama...Jakarta/ Surabaya for kebaya jom! hehe..

hygiene-free!

Alhamdulillah, at last...i am exam-free for this semester.
i managed to pass my Hygiene exam (with flying colors) today, after few days of burning my Ikea study lamp ;p!
and so my holiday is officially starting! more skiing..more skating while waiting for the most-awaited Italy trip.

Ever since my grandpa passed away ( on 4th Jan 09 ), i still didnt have the chance to call my grandma who is now in Johor Bharu, waiting for her Iddah to end (with a maid, whom i bet walks slower than her!). Honestly i cant wait to be back home in Malaysia..to be with her. I was brought up and partially raised by both my grandparents since both my parents were busy, serving the government ( as Medical Officers ). and of course, being the eldest grandchildren...i am the princess of all :P.

I find it quite hard to accept, that he is now gone forever. For the past 3 years, i will usually pay my fasting debt in JB, with both my grandparents ( i will spend at least a week with them in Jb during my summer break). And me, being a princess at all times, will have my meal served by him ( my grandma will be the one reheating the 'lauk' and grandpa will be one who served them)...always. me? duduk lalu makan!

I was preparing my 'sahur' one morning when i realised that the rice cooker hit the off button by itself, so the rice was not cooked properly. For the fact that i am now paying off my fasting debt here in Russia, alone, without my tok ayah and mak tok..plus with that stupid not well-cooked rice..i feel like crying.

Well..things can never be the same again. at least to some people.
one thing for sure, i miss him..

why hygiene being so h.y.g.i.e.n.e

i was busy complaining to my mother (through sms), how rubbish this hygiene exam is to me and
guess what was the reply??

''ma dulu masa subj. JKM kena blajar nak buat jamban. practical lagi,bukan teori je''

HA HA HA HA

i am just hoping to pass this crap exam of mine. i feel so stupid trying hard to cover the entire subject while some people survived with the help of ready-made 'toyol', passed down from some lazy non-hygienic medical students.

but to be honest, i dont think by learning this subject, a person can be that clean and hygienic,no?

to have more patience, which by definition is-
state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without becoming annoyed (this is so me,no?) or upset; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain..(from Wikipedia).

but for some reasons, i just cant.

refreshing..

i think it would be nice of me to delete the previous entry..and i actually did it.
well...looking at it makes me wanna kill people.on the other hand..im trying hard to forget and just to let go of it. why bother a maniac.

these few days, apart from studying hygiene..i went all out, enjoying the super thick snow! skiing..and ice skating..have to start the sleighing soon.hehehehe! there was once where we got invited by a Russian family to sleigh with them...but looking at the height and for the fact that they were using a cardboard (instead of a sleigh pad)..makes me go No-No.
(will post the pic later).

At last, i am counting the days for my winter break. to seek for some peace of mind..by err..retail shopping?;-).italy has its beau and its labels too!(big grin)
especially to someone which is quite proportional ( like me)...why not,eyh?

al-fatihah to dearest tok ayah

he's always been my favorite grandpa ever.i have been well informed about him being very ill few days ago due to retroperitoneal cancer with several metastases. so cancer being cancer...i tried to prepare myself bits by bits..in case for the worst thing to happen.

i received an sms from my dad about an hour ago, saying ''tok ayah pulang ke rahmatullah about 15 mins ago'' and etc etc ( which im just too hopeless to read).

maybe i was quite prepared ( mentally) or maybe i am now finally an adult in my 4th year medical course ( which to the certain extent, know what cancer might cause)..i remained calm and so i replied to my dad..''okay.i'm okay.dont worry!hygiene exam coming up in mid jan.salam to all.''
i think im turning into such a very cold person this year.

last but not least, i hope Mama and family will accept the faith the way it is, and remain calm. Hope everything's fine back at home.Sorry for not being there with all of you, again at this kinda time.
