Pisa and its tower

Since Pisa is just a small town about an hour from Florence,we were there for just a day trip to see the tower with our own eyes. It was raining and was very windy, and because of that we could not afford to go up the tower. superstitious thinking: takut nanti angin tolak tower jatuh, macamana?? hahaha!:)It was quite funny when we kinda walked through the long way to reache the tower ( from the train station). thanks to that big-headed GPS (read: abg zaid). instead of walking for 30minutes, we end up with an hour. but thanks to him also, we could at least spend a bit more time in the town of Pisa. i've had few shopping bags with me even before we reached the tower..;p. Thats when we came across its high street(with acca kappa, zara,guess...etc) and its medical school!Instead of going up the tower, we headed to a nearby pure italian restaurant to try its famous seafood spaghetti. it was listed as one of the best spaghetti/pizzaria in Virtualtourist.com ( most important, it is still affordable, about 8eu). see the pic: so attempting, i know!:) * adik must be jealous with that!hehe*
and just before we board the train back to Florence: enjoying the Gelato of the day, and by far is the best one ever!! its Nutella flavored by the way, from a gelato shop also recommended by Virtualtourist. It is called La Bonneta?or Bontegga. im not too sure.Do visit whenever you're in Pisa.

manners = ethics

and so i think.

It was nice of him( http://bimmer553.blogspot.com/2009/02/thank-you-welcome.html) to make an entry on the maids. hahaha! though i find it quite funny, acknowledging them here ( via blogging) when you know that they're not blogging/blog hopping. Maybe i've to teach them slooowwly when i get back home.

Talking about having maids at home, i feel like lazying around now. how i wish they or at least one of them is here, 'layaning' my 'kerenah'. Good thing about living far away from home is that i managed to learn to be independant. I have to be proud of myself because at least i am now a pretty good cook ( as in my vocabulary! hehe ).
I could not recall a single moment of my life without a maid at home. maybe for a short period of time ( when they come & go thingi). However, we sort of have this unwritten laws, between us kids and our parents. like do's and dont's and how to treat them. eventhough they sometimes get on my nerves, but of course i do lend a helping hand. Therefore i find it hard to believe, meeting people who doesnt know how to do the dishes/keep things clean. as if they have 10 'pari2' dancing around them, helping them to tidy up!

Having them at home is a total bless for our family. I wonder how mama abah and the 2 lazy kiddos survived without them especially when i am away:). i think mama must be cursing her super huge vac cleaner by now ( i use to do that for her after my maids went back home).
One thing that they cannot depend on me is to water the plants. i'll just wait for the rain to come! hahaha.

On the other note, i've watched one malay drama series called Mertua vs Menantu ( or is it vice versa?). OMG it is so funny! i mean i like the Datin mother. she's very...*no vocab*
Maybe i'll be a scary mother in-law someday! hahahahaha.

p/s: mr bimmer...thank you for the platinum plastic!:)

Firenze Part 2

After the hectic shopping in Tuscany ( we went to The Mall and Barberino Designer Outlet), we're left to enjoy the beauty of Florence.
The place where we stayed was very near the city center. The sad thing is.. it was raining during our last day there, but that never stop us from going around with an umbrella.:)

We went to the famous Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo and so many Piazza ( square). but my favorite among all is the:
My passion (or better to say my interest) for shoes started after purchasing (by accident?) a Kurt Geiger wedges in London, last year. and ever since that..me love shoes!think that explained why i go woooohoooo in every Ferragamo boutique there :)* the museum is located in Piazza Santa Trinita,5r. spotted: Tiffany & co!*

some pictures in Duome, Firenze:
Later at night, to Ponte Vecchio (the bridge)- shops built on a bridge!
*''hello Arno river..i've been here!'' :) **'joget lambak' in Palazzo Pitti.*

10 years ago..when i was 13

on 25th January 1999..
i joined the family of Seri Puteri, Jalan Kolam Ayer, Kuala Lumpur.

Its been 10 years now since we're together girls. I truly cherish the moments we've shared together. The bonding which cannot be found elsewhere.

Those who're tying the knot soon, wishing you all the happiness in the world. To those who're still struggling with books and tight schedules ( like yours truly), lets achieve the goal of our life with success.
No matter where we are or how far we're apart, our love will remain strong.

Happy (belated) 10th anniversary.with lots of love from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

Every now and then
We find a special friend
Who never lets us down
Who understands it all
Reaches out each time you fall
You're the best friend that I've found
I know you can't stay
A part of you will never ever go away
Your heart will stay

* I'll make a wish for you
And hope it will come true
That life would just be kind
To such a gentle mind
If you lose your way
Think back on yesterday
Remember me this way
Remember me this way
Hmm……….. this way

I don't need eyes to see
The love you bring to me
No matter where I go
And I know that you'll be there
Forever more apart of time, you're everywhere
I'll always cares
(Repeat *)

And I'll be right behind your shoulder watching you
I'll be standing by your side and all you do
And I won't ever leave
As long as you believe
You just believe

Firenze Part 1

our next destination...
and where all the shopping began:)

We got lucky again..to be given a studio apartment very close to Santa Maria Novella station and San Lorenzo Market. There were rows of halal kebab nearby so that was the reason why i had my favorite Falafel for breakfast ;)
(mental note: I love Falafel!i miss Ar-Rawsyar's)

I recommend for real shopaholics to visit this city, for you will get a splendid value of money ( as in shopping wise,ok!)
However, in my point of view, i can say that in Italy (almost in every cities here), only the Italian designers are cheap/cheaper.
German's Hugo Boss for instance, is much more expansive here rather than in the UK. Same goes with American's Timberland, Calvin Klein ( to name a few).

The Mall is one of the best designer outlet in Italy, located in Tuscany about an hour drive from Florence. Definitely a must-visit place while you're in Florence. Woohooo!!!As you can see...shopping sampai malam.haha!it was so much fun, going in and out the fitting rooms!i have to thank abg zaid for being a good 'butler??' throughout the evening. The 'upah' was an Armani shirt, so that he would help me carry those black paper bags.muahaha!

oh i forgot to mention about us meeting 2 Malaysian girls there. I was busy with the Gucci SA whilst i heard someone talking in Malay. Going back time, we approached them and finally make friends with them. One of them is currently studying in Milan, pursuing her degree in Montessori.
We exchanged email address/phone numbers, had a long chat and went back to Florence together.

Gondola

i forgot something..about the Gondola ride we had ( or at least me and abg zaid had.)

I got lucky that day, when we were approached by a gondola man, asking whether we need a ride or not.
For 100eu per gondola, we were thinking of sharing the ride with the other 4.to make it cheaper.
After the visit to Murano, we all got separated from each other, going in different direction in San Marco.
So when the man asked for only 70eu per gondola, i told abg zaid whether he's coming or not, i am going.
ha ha ha!
and...here we go....(FYI:my red Ferragamo went on the ride to0!kah kah kah)

venezia part 2 - Murano Island

*on our way to Murano, in San Marco*
On our 2nd day there, we decided to to visit one of the famous island in Venice, the Murano.
Maybe you've heard about the Murano Glasses? That is the place then where one can find so many shops selling the glasses in all sort of forms, be it in a deco form up to jeweleries. As far i can remember, they have at least 40 factories ( be it small or big ones), manufacturing those glasses.*on our way to Murano, in San Marco*
I am not a fan when it comes to jeweleries, so i only buy 1 Murano pendant for my younger sister.I think she'll like it ( sebab dia memang lagi mengada2 dari saya:) )
The vase, plates are all very2 nice and expansive too.Let Mama come and get one herself, someday.:)
*the process in one of the factory*

After our visit to the factory, we visited the so-called centrale of Murano. The town, i mean. All i can say is that it is a small town, with so many glass statue and definitely beautiful and clean too.*bamboo made of glass*
and a Pizza treat!for just only 2.50eu, it tasted really good ( in my case...its 5.00eu because i had 2 of that!hahaha)

goosebumps

Maybe i was too busy enjoying my winter trip recently, thus i wasnt aware of something.
now that i realized...and for the fact that i managed to escape myself from something which is quite irrelevant (at least to most people)..i thank you Allah.

i prefer not to get to know a maniac.
gross.

please dont get me wrong. of course i can be friends with anyone, be it fat/ugly/old/young.
all i am asking for is to have at least a decent mind. definitely not a psychotic.

alert: AUnty D!

en route and Venezia part 1

i am not sure whether i mentioned it earlier ( or not) that i was going to fly with Air Berlin this time. Since it is a budget airline, i was not expecting anything much out of it. i was thinking that it must be something close to Air Asia (free seating like Transnasional?). To cut things short, the service was awesome ( got onboard with Niki Air, its sharing coach) and the sandwich was really 'mayonaiseeeeing' and very nice *they had complimentary sandwich and drinks for all passengers*.We landed Milan Malpensa Airport safely after a short transit in Vienna, Austria. The journey was about 4 hours and since i've recharged all my energy throughout the journey, i just cant wait to wonder around Milan the moment we arrived. Straight away to our hostel to check in our luggage, freshen up a bit and off we go to a nearby Kebab shop owned by some egyptians.A wee bit lucky, we got a free drink each for our dinner that night. * us with the antique elevator in our hostel*

We headed to the Milano Centrale first thing in the morning to catch the train to Venice. The journey was smooth with Eurotrain express. I can still remember how we giggled with joy ( in other words, tergedik2) ,seeing the beau of the city. Quickly check in into our guest house nearby ( owned by a Thai family as i mentioned in my previous post) and off we go, wondering the beauty of Venice.Seriously, Venice is a place that you have to visit at least once in your lifetime! * from Milano Centrale to Venezia* * The first timer, waiting to enjoy Venezia*
*one of the stop for their water taxi**the water taxi. imagine, using a boat to go to school/work instead of the normal bus/Lrt??;p**Gondolas in its parking space*

We spent the rest of the day, going through the map and getting lost in Venice.Getting lost is a must for tourist especially in Venice ( at least that's what i read in the inflight magazine.) I had a hard time in Venice, finding the atm machine to withdraw some cash. Since my other friends have no difficulties in doing so, i came up with a conclusion that that is because i am using the new Maybank atm card cum debit card ( you know, yang byk bunga or whatever color2 thing on it).Shit you Maybank for the trouble ( tak habis2 buat aku sakit hati kan bank ni!) .Finally there is one particular bank called Banka Populare de Venezia, which allows my transaction.Thank God. * in front of our guest house, Swasdee Venezia* * my first pistachio Gelato**The famous Rialto bridge in Venice. There is a row of shops (mostly selling jeweleries) on the bridge.*
*day dreaming.if only i can grow money on trees.haha!*Honestly Venice has a lot to offer. The beauty on its own,the Grand canal, the bridges and small canals, the gondolas and much more.Shopping in Venice is a hit too.
You couldnt find any other place offering excellent bargain for its United Colors of Benetton like Venice do.definitely not Rome/ Milan. Will talk about my shopping therapy later.;)

Later at night, we went to visit the world famous Hard Rock Cafe in Venice.( personal note to Youn: Saya sudah pergi ke HRC Venice:):):) ).
To be continued....
