my new hair-do!:)

i saw my sister's new hair so i was thinking of doing the same too.
hahaha.
im used to Schawarzkopf Professional but this time feeling like trying Loreal Professional ( pro here means it is salon exclusive).one thing about Russia is that the hair products here are cheaper than Malaysia. or at least as compared to Derrick& team, SAW, etc etc in kl.

pic taken during our pot-luck dinner on Sunday.
and that was because i was craving (for months!) for kiran & maalini 's awesome mamak potato sambal.
it tasted so mamak-ish..dah kata pun kiran & maalini yg masak:)
haha...

and i think our BBQ session will be taking place soon!the weather has finally arrived.

KUALA LUMPUR: The bodies of two doctors missing since Wednesday were found yesterday in a ravine near the Klang Gates in Ulu Ampang.

Dr Haliza Mohd Shafiee, 53, and Dr Amin Tai Abdullah @ Tai Yen Ming, 57, were believed to have slipped and fallen into the ravine while jungle trekking at a popular spot in Bukit Tabuh near Taman Melawati, Ampang.

Their bodies were spotted by the pilots of a police helicopter at 2.15pm in a search operation launched in the area after a car belonging to one of the doctors was found near Bukit Melawati.

The pilots radioed the general location of the bodies.

Police, using tracker dogs, found them later.
Dr Haliza's body was brought out of the ravine first at 3.30pm while Dr Amin's body was retrieved 15 minutes later.

Both bodies were badly decomposed and were sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.

Dr Haliza, a paediatrician, and Dr Amin, a paediatric surgeon, both employed at the Ampang Puteri Medical Centre, had been reported missing by their families on Wednesday.

Closed-circuit television camera recordings showed that they left the medical centre at 11.30am on Wednesday in Dr Haliza's Nissan Latio.

Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said the Latio was found at 6am yesterday. It is believed police had tracked the vehicle through its global positioning system device.

Khalid said a guard at the Klang Gates dam had reported seeing the duo trekking in the area, something they apparently did quite often.

"They were reportedly close and both liked to go jungle trekking."

The families of both doctors declined to speak to reporters.

Ampang police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Jalil Hassan said the deaths of the two doctors had been classified as sudden death and police did not suspect foul play.

Both of them are my family friends. i've known dr amin tai since i was a kid and i always admire him as a pediatric surgeon. i remembered seeing him playing with toys in his consulting room in APSH and how he has this 'aura' for kids.
May both of them rest in Jannah. al-fatihah.

3 more months oh yeahh..

3 more months ( approximately) till i'm back in Malaysia. i woke up today, feeling like calling home, which means my 2 home- the one with my parents brother sister plus the cat,Luvya in Kent 4, KL and the one in Kebun Teh Park, JB with my grandma and my only uncle.

My conversation with my grandma lasted for about 15 minutes ( she kept on saying, ''ckp cepat sikit, mahal ni!"..then i told her that that's so not true with www.mig33.com!). She was telling me about her daily regime after my late tok ayah passed away earlier this year. also about my cousin in New Zealand..wondering how he is surviving without knowing how to cook. poor Faza, u'll get through it soon. All in all, i think she's coping well now since my only uncle is now staying in JB to accompany her.

Next was me having quite a long chat with my mom. funny thing, she left her hp in her workplace so i've got to call home. She was ironing her clothes for she had a dinner to attend to tonight. Mama love attending weddings, i tell you. that was then when she mentioned to me about one of my dad's closest friend..something something. stay tune for any update in http://bimmer553.blogspot.com (if he blog about it though).

On another note, one of my friend's younger sister was admitted in ICU with a diagnosis of AVM ( arteriovenous malformation). Hope everything went well tasha.

aite till then..:)

medicine..

I am now currently undergoing my medicine rotation, still. total duration of 4 weeks. tell me about it, its hell tiring. with the extra reading and all..medicine..medicine.

now that i'm learning about this disease called arterial hypertension ( org melayu kate darah tinggi..haha!), one of its risk factor is cigarette smoking. yet i am still wondering, why are there still a lot of people out there, who cant get that thing out of their life.
even worst, we the non-smokers are actually a secondary smoker. life is great then.
and how about those med students who are also an active smoker? go die. not worth ur 6 yrs of med school.

other than that, life has been quite okay. nothing interesting though.oh, i'm waiting ( patiently) for my birthday card to arrive from Brisbane! ( anne..me love u muchy).
till then, i've reading to do.
cheers~

beeline and its power

finally...i can now listen to Malaysian radio online.
and my favorite would definitely be the LiteFM :)
Since i know my dad has been a loyal listener to KLFM, i've tried to listen to them online but i could not get through the line. im not sure why ( ok now i think kak posh will need to help me.haha!).
i'll try again some other time.
still, i feel closer to the homeland!heheheeee.

class has been good today, as we got the chance to see how the Russians conduct their physiotherapy in their hospital. i can see almost all the instruments look like those from the Soviet Union era. no kidding here but yes they're all still functioning well. Maybe i've to see those in Malaysia hospital and make a comparison. see if there's any difference or not.method wise and its effectiveness.
due to all these different methods and skills..i think MMC is making a big huge mistake on their decision about having us do all the 4-6 weeks of practicals here only.
probably at the end of the day, we will hear them saying '' graduates from Russia are donkeys''.
again, whose fault is that??&*&^%&%.

maybe we can call the MMC team again, and show those odd machines/equipments.see whether they can conduct them just like they did with the modern ones in Malaysia.

and to some Nizhnians 'Einsteins' who complained about they dont get to learn anything/doctors in Msia sombong/etc during their summer practical in Malaysia..probably you're a big snob, thats why!

cheers~

weekend-ish

so okay..these are some of my pictures taken in Rome last month. the internet conn is not very pleasant for me to upload more pics, so i think these will do.at least at the moment, it is :)

it has been a relaxing weekend for me, since we've settled with our Endocrinology zachut ( test). Next in line would be cardiology, one of my favorite subject. i think i would like to become a pediatric cardiologist! oh..we'll see how it goes then:)

weather wise, is not so wise actually. it snowed again yesterday..heavily! as for today, its shining brightly. i hope that would be the last snow ever and mr spring, pls get down here ASAP.
i'm tired of having to wear those bulky plastic especially when im running late. and the boots..ish..

its only 1303 pm now, and i'm thinking of what to do. maybe baking some muffins would be nice, ehy? its been a long time..and i think my last cooking-heavenly session was on roti jala. herm..shall think..shall think.
or maybe apple pie...since i've some bit of that instant frozen pastry in my fridge.

cheers everyone~

spring coming..yipee yeay!

right..blogspot has got to do something with its server/wire/cable/brain/whatnot.
it was such a blessing, to be able to post up this entry, finally.
anyways...

yes!the spring is about to come!
i can see the sun shining...finally!
temperature was kinda weird though, freezing in the morning and very sunny during the day.
*can finally have the shades on :)*

classes have been good so far. but hell tiring.
the journey and the subject itself.
oh did i tell you about the lift in that hospital is fantastic too?
having our classes on the 12th floor, surely we need to go on the lift ( definitely one can walk, but hell yeah!). funny thing is that even with all 4 working lifts that is not much of a help.
apparently, all 4 lifts will move together ( they'll reach the lobby all 4 at about the same time..something like that.not always but often.)
nothing new since its Russia.
hehe.
-> look, im not complaining about the lifts okay.just sharing some life experience/lift experience in a Russian hospital. no intention to lodge a report elsewhere ( MMC maybe?)

p/s: being sarcastic is delicious, isnt it?

cheers.

lady pathetic

since its weekend, i have more time to browse the net..and as u can see, i've 2 entries for today!:)

i came across one particular blog yesterday, by which i find it quite annoying. no, no she's not anyone close to me and i doubt i've even any connection with her ( maybe my friend's friend's friend/aunty/wife, but that doesn't involve me, no?)

i think she's such a denial person based on the way she wrote/present herself. Mainly, she hates good ( literally, means designer/label) things. eg-'' i dont get it why people choose Chanel over Elianto/ hok ore kelate gi timbang kati!'' or why Tie rack scarves over those cheaper ones?
ok..i think she's weird. haha!

At some point, i saw the other side of her : a Coach bag ( as in her wish list)!

I have no idea how such a person can cope with their agonist-antagonist self-attitude, but through my experience, all they have is a personality disorder.

''weak-end''

I had a jolly great time in Rome, Italy last month.
can anybody get me a time machine please??I wanna go back there for a weekend breakaway!
hahaha...(oh! that Armani boutique in Spagna!!)
( better stop dreaming, Nana!)
On the other hand..my family is now spending their weekend in Jakarta ( yes...minus me!). oh the sunshine, the pleasant weather..basically all the things excluding winter!its already March but the thick snow doesn't seems to know their way out!
oh yeah, i cant wait to wear my Jakarta Kebayas:)

I am now doing my medicine rotation in that very far hospital ( about an hour journey). Medicine is m.e.d.i.c.i.n.e..hence all the tiring and stress. Our doctor was nice and helpful and so does the patients. We havent yet any difficulties with the patients/nurses/doctors in that hospital. Not like in our previous one ( g.u.v.d hospital), where the nurses are sick themselves.

will try my best to upload my Rome pictures and some of Milan too.
when my internet connection is behaving well.

ciao people :)

happy woman's day

first of all, happy woman's day to all my girlfriends! May you guys be blessed with all the wonderful things :)
Russia is well-known for its celebration for woman's day. i think they do appreciate this 8th of March day better than the normal Valentine's day. Since it is Sunday, we therefore will have another day off tomorrow. gheezz...get to sit back, and relax a bit before starting that tense Medicine rotation ( and the journey is another thing, an hour in the bus!get it?we're not talking about any s60 here okay).

As for today, me and a few friends went to Sovestkaya market, planning to buy some tulips! There were a lot of grannys selling flowers too. but then again, the weather was very2 windy..i think it was about -10 plus with the wind chill et al. but anyways..we managed ourselves with at least a bouquet each!;)
i wanted lily so so badly though. but it was too cold for me to even hold my 2 bouquet just now. maybe i can do it tomorrow, since its a public holiday.hehe..

Talking about tomorrow, i am expecting to meet my independant distributor for Herbalife. I am starting on a very healthy diet soon.yeay! not because i am as fat as a pig and need to get back into shape, NO! what i need is to balance my diet, thats all. or in other words: prophylaxis from being a fat pig.

If any of my Nizhnians reader is interested with Herbalife, you can ask me for the contact number, okay. :)

cheerios!
p/s: its been a great weekend. relaxing with good oldies song esp from Lionel richie, Nail Sedaka, Broery Marantika...and off to bed:). plus with the aromatherapy!

flu..flu..

i am down with flu for now. so annoying okay! i myself feels like 24 hours a day is not enough. I dont know, maybe its only me who feel it that way. i mean..i saw some people enjoying life, doing inappropriate things ( whatever that might be), like as if they have plenty of time to be wasted.
in other words: i am jealous with that ok! how come you get more time than me?maybe they get 48 hours per day, instead of 24?

and now with this annoying flu, i got less than 24 hours a day!

UPDATED...
i've received the platinum plastic about a minute ago. thank you bimmer!:)
and my very first advance birthday card too!:)
