Its been years since i get to be in our annual family gathering, i mean from my father's side. It is actually one big family and being one of the eldest grandchildren on both sides, its wonderful to see how the little cousins grow up. Time flies like magic, seriously. Suddenly i feel so like a grown up! Two of my dad's sisters couldn't get to join us that evening since they're staying miles away, nevertheless we've had quite a big crowd at home. Mom was definitely the head chef cooking all those fantabulous dishes like' soto ayam' and many many more! (err okay i'm hungry now even by typing the word d-i-s-h-e-s).
The best part was, my dad and i went all out by having some oil lamps in our garden. So like a pre-Aidilfitri celebration, for the fact that i'll not be able to celebrate them in Malaysia ( again. for 5 consecutive years, man!). Big kids small kids had their fun by playing games in the garden till very late at night,which includes trying to put off the oil lamp!
Few more weeks left for us to enjoy the Ramadhan and for me to enjoy Malaysia.
